Itinerary

DAY 1: WELCOME TO ATHENS
Arrival in Athens and transfer to your hotel at the centre. Take the day to relax and explore the old neighborhoods of Plaka, Thesio and Monastiraki, all walking distance from your hotel and the Acropolis.
DAY 2: ANCIENT ATHENS & HIDDEN CORNERS
Today you’ll dive into the marvelous world of Ancient Athens and discover hidden corners rich in history and cultural significance. Starting from the Akropolis, you’ll walk through old neighbourhoods and picturesque narrow alleys to the Roman Agora, the Ancient Agora, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Pnyx Hill and Mars Hill, from where you’ll enjoy an incredible view of all of Athens.

You’ll also experience a food tour around Athens’ old neighborhoods, central vegetables, meat and fish markets, where you will “taste” the true soul of the Greek diet by trying lesser-known delicacies and popular traditional dishes!
DAY 3: ARRIVAL AND WELCOME AT MILOS
In the morning you will take the ferry to Milos island. Get settled at your hotel and relax by the beach. In the evening visit the picturesque Plaka, the main village and old capital, with its medieval atmosphere, narrow alleys, archways and old houses. Ascend to the ‘Castle’. to watch the sunset and enjoy a lovely supper at one of our recommended taverns.
DAY 4: SAIL & EXPLORE REMOTE BAYS & BEACHES
Milos is known for its unique volcanic landscapes and stunning 80 plus coves and beaches, many of which are only accessible by boat. You’ll sail on a catamaran yacht around the island in order to explore the dramatic coastline and the hidden beaches of Milos! You’ll swim and snorkle into crystal-clear, turquoise waters and enjoy delicious snacks and lunch! The pristine beauty of Milos’ beaches and coastline will stay longest in your memory!
DAY 5: DISCOVER MILOS’ STUNNING VOLCANIC LANDSCAPES, BEACHES & ARCHEOLOGICAL SITES
Today you’ll follow a beautiful route that will allow you to appreciate the unique landscapes of Milos… colorful volcanic rocks, stunning views of the coast, picturesque harbors, creeks and canyons. We’ll start our exploration from the excavations of Fylakopi, once an important Minoan city. You’ll walk along the coast towards Papafranga, where you can swim at the “unreal”, turquoise waters of this short ravine into which the sea water flows under a rocky arch. Your next stop will be the most famous beach of Milos, Sarakiniko, known for its lunar landscape as long horizontal volcanic rocks have been eroded by sea water and have turned bright white, a contrast with the turquoise blue of the sea.

Time to visit the picturesque village of Plaka to admire its its cobbled streets and traditional architecture as well as the stunning panoramic views of the sea and surrounding islands and enjoy local treats. Final stop the Catacombs, a sacred place for Early Christianity, a Necropolis, and a resting place of estimated 2500 souls. Close to the Catacombs is the marble Roman Amphitheatre and the site of the discovery of Venus de Milo in 1820, now residing in the Louvre. This promises to be an exciting day!

DAY 6: REST DAY
Spend the day relaxing by the beach and soak in the sea, sun and atmosphere of the Cyclades.
DAY 7: PADDLE AND EXPLORE MILOS AND SURROUNDING ISLANDS
Embark on an epic journey by sea kayak across the turquoise waters of Milos, unspoilt Kimolos and the deserted islands scattered between them. Milos is the ideal place for a sea kayak tour due to the stunning coastline and choice of protected bays. You will experience crystal clear water, deserted beaches, sea caves, narrow passages, rock gardens, huge cliffs and secluded coves. There will be many opportunities for swimming and snorkeling, lunch and relaxing by the beach!
Day 8: FERRY TO SIFNOS
Welcome to Sifnos! Transfer to your hotel by the beach. Another opportunity to relax by the beach or enjoy swimming and waters sports! Visit in the evening the village of Apollonia for supper.
Day 9: VILLAGE HOPPING WALK OR E-BIKE TOUR WITH STUNNING VIEWS
Enjoy a circular walk from the main village, Apollonia, towards the medieval “Kastro” settlement in order to discover the unique nature, history and culture of Sifnos. You’ll cross the beautiful settlements of Ano Petali and Artemonas and admire the Cycladic architecture, white-washed houses and narrow paved alleys. You’ll follow the path down to the church of Poulati enjoying impressive views to the Aegean sea, surrounding islands and the picturesque “Kastro” which seems as if it emerges from beneath the sea!

Stroll and get “lost” in the medieval alleys of the “Kastro” settlement, which was inhabited uninterruptedly since prehistoric times. After a short break to soak in the history and atmosphere, continue on a beautifully paved path through fields with olive trees, bee hives and some pigeon towers. Pass from the rustic village of Kato Petali and reach Apollonia again. Time to taste the island’s acclaimed cuisine.
DAY 10: CREATE YOUR OWN CERAMIC!
Sifnos is an island well known for its traditional ceramics art. The island’s rich clay veins, sunny weather and the right temperature have made Sifnos the capital of pottery in the Aegean Sea. Visit a traditional pottery workshop and learn everything about the long ceramic history of Sifnos from Giannis, a third generation potter. Have a seat next to the wheel and learn how to “work” with clay in the traditional way. Create and take back home your own ceramic!
Day 11: BOAT TOUR TO ISOLATED BEACHES – TOUR OF SIFNOS
Explore the exclusive beauties of Sifnos or Polyaigos with a traditional 14m handmade wooden boat. Enjoy a beach safari to some of the most beautiful well-hidden beaches of Cyclades. Swim and snorkel in the crystal clear waters of the Aegean sea. https://www.aegeascruises.gr
DAY 12: VISIT LOCAL FARM AND GET INTRODUCED TO GREEK COOKING
Today is special! You’ll visit a traditional, 3rd generation farm and enjoy a tour in order to learn all about their organic farming practices. The owners are passionate about organic farming and are cultivating fruits and vegetables using the same practices used on the island for many centuries, adapted due to the lack of water.

The island of Sifnos holds food at the heart of its landscape and culture. It is the birthplace of Greece’s first celebrity chef, a place where locals embrace culinary rituals that have been kept alive for centuries. Using products from their farm, you will prepare for your dinner two salad dishes, two appetizers and two main courses. Time to taste the fruits of your efforts and enjoy a delicious meal. A selection between local dry white or sweet sun-dried red wine, will accompany your meal. For dessert you’ll enjoy a selection of fruits, depending on the season, such as watermelon, melon, pear, apricots and damsons, all of them unique as they are grown from their own organic seeds. Yummy!
DAY 13: BEACH DAY
Relax and enjoy your last day by the beach. Farewell supper.
DAY 14: DEPARTURE
